Taking good care of your skin

Step 1: Cleaning is fundamental!

Cleanse your skin in the morning and remove all make-up in the evening. We recommend using our detox make-up remover gel, which rinses off in seconds to purify your skin in the morning and at bedtime. For those who wish to cleanse their skin without rinsing, opt for eau lactée démaquillante to remove all impurities.

Step 2: exfoliate your skin

Depending on the condition of your skin, exfoliation should be carried out once or twice a week . If you feel your skin is too dry or, on the contrary, too oily, it's time to exfoliate! 🧽

Go for the purifying scrub that takes care of your skin. Based on rice powder and plant oils, it gently removes all impurities without damaging your skin texture.

Step 3: Apply a moisturizing mask

After a good scrub, there's nothing like applying a moisturizing mask to soothe your skin and nourish it instantly. Choose a natural mask with the right composition to moisturize your skin without damaging it.

If you don't have a moisturizing mask on hand, you can try a homemade recipe for a super mask for a radiant complexion. However, Charlotte Bio has a magical plant for you:Aloe Vera! 🪴

This plant is available in gel or leaf form. Apply to the face to moisturize and plump your skin in just a few minutes. And that's all there is to it!

Moisturize your skin morning and evening

Moisturizing is the key to a radiant complexion!

Use Organic Light Moisturizing Cream to deeply nourish your skin. Place a dab of cream in your hands and warm the texture before applying to your face. To apply, work from the inside out to effectively penetrate the cream and tone the skin. Moisturize your forehead, temples, nose, cheeks and chin, then don't forget to moisturize your neck. Finally, wait a few minutes before applying make-up.

To moisturize your skin, we also recommend drinking water regularly ( 2L a day). Internal hydration is very important for a healthy, luminous complexion.

A luminous complexion based on skin type

I have dry skin. How can I get a radiant complexion?

Use a rich moisturizing cream and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Certain vegetable oils can be beneficial, such asavocado oil , which deeply moisturizes even the most dehydrated skin. Avoid mattifying bases, which may not penetrate your pores properly.

Dry skin means dull skin, so don't hesitate to turn to illuminating moisturizer to bring light to your complexion. As for makeup, bring light to your complexion by using an iridescent white or gold blush on the inner corner of the eye, then apply illuminator, also called highlighter on the top of your cheekbones from the inside out.

A luminous complexion based on your skin type

I have combination skin

Lucky you, you have the best skin type for working on a luminous complexion!

Use light moisturizing cream to prepare your skin. Then, work on the shadowy corners of your face using an illuminator that brings light and glow. Apply it to the bridge of your nose, the inner corner of your eyes, above your cheekbones, under your eyebrows on the outside, above the heart of your lips and then to the bottom of your chin.

That's all there is to it!

I have combination to oily skin

First, moisturize your skin with light moisturizing cream then apply mattifying foundation to regulate your skin's excess sebum.

To even out your complexion, use complexion fluid to even out your skin tone. Then use a highlighter to brighten your complexion on the upper cheekbones and bridge of the nose.

I have mature skin

Mature skin is often dull, so it's important to brighten up your complexion. The glowy trend is perfect for you!

Use light moisturizing cream or your usual anti-wrinkle cream to deeply moisturize your skin texture. A little tip: Aloe Vera gel is ideal for plumping the skin and illuminating the complexion.

When it comes to make-up, the golden rule is less is more! Use the plumping CC crème for a natural, luminous look. Thenlightly apply sun or pink illuminator.

Questions about techniques for a luminous complexion? Our team has the answers!

We'd like to tell you all the time, but that's the wrong answer!

At Charlotte Bio, moisturizing is very important. Dehydrated skin is not necessarily healthy skin. We recommendmoisturizing your skin morning and night. Drinking water regularly also contributes to beautiful skin, so grab your water bottles!

Yes, it's perfectly possible if you don't necessarily have the time! However, it's important to moisturize your skin after exfoliation.

If you've got 4 hours to spare, we recommend you apply a good mask afterwards to take good care of your skin! 🧖🏻‍♀️

Blush and highlighter don 't serve the same purpose. Blush will brighten the complexion, whilehighlighter will illuminate to give a glowy complexion. What's more, they're not applied in the same place! Blush is applied to the cheekbones, temples and lightly over the nose, blending as much as possible, whereas highlighter is best applied the more you put on!

We recommend exfoliating 1 to 2 times a week. As for the moisturizing mask, apply it once a week, and up to twice if you feel your skin is dehydrated.

Conversely, applying a mask without exfoliating is far less effective. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, purifies the skin and prepares it for use. Without exfoliation, the skin is not as cleansed, and the mask risks being much less effective !
